Environmental Mission: CCEJN uses the following strategies to promote Environmental Justice and Health Equity: a) Work with community members and other stakeholders to identify environmental justice issues and to develop sustainable solutions; b) Educate and empower communities, especially those in rural areas, to advocate for themselves by providing technical assistance and resources; c) Promote alternative methods for a safer environment; d) Encourage youth to be aware of and participate in environmental issues; e) Serve as a hub for environmental activism in the Central Valley.

COVID-19 Impact: We have to cancel our in-person meetings, events. Having to move to virtual meetings and phone calls.

Support Needed: Ask people to donate food so we can give it away to our community members who are out of jobs

Other Support Needed: Food donations for low income immigrant families who are unemployed an unable to collect unemployment

Community Assistance: Yes, we are calling our community members to ask the type of need they have and connecting them to Food Distribution sites and/or helping bring food to the homes of those unable to go out.
